So, as stereotypes go, I'm not always the greatest 'girl'... I'm TERRIBLE at all things skin care and actually looking after my complexion, I wear make up daily and suffer with combination skin, but I have never actually done anything about it.. My level of cleansing my skin is taking my make up off with micellar water !!
I decided that it was probably time I started looking after my skin more and wanted to buy a box set to use products that complimented each other and (hopefully) improved the look and feel of my skin...
After much research and deliberation (it's an absolute MINDFIELD!!!), I eventually settled on 'The Daily Clean Skin' carbon theory box set. This was because their reviews seemed really good, they were in my price budget and because I was ordering online, I was reassured that I remembered previously seeing the brand in high street shops!
It took a few days to arrive (I was kept up to date with dispatch/shipping info) and came in a really nice looking box, which felt like a treat in itself! In this box there is; charcoal & tea tree oil cleansing bar, vitamin E and tea tree oil moisturiser and a charcoal, tea tree oil & mineral mud mask. As you would probably expect, you use the cleansing bar daily as a bar of soap to remove impurities and clean the skin and pop the moisturiser on after (a tiny blob goes a looongg way!), and they recommend using the mud mask once a week.
I've got to say, I've been really pleasantly surprised! My oily/dry combination skin seems to have improved lots and the overall texture and feel of my skin is much improved and loads softer! Sometimes I find the moisturiser can sting a tiny bit, but I've tended to find that seems to be when it's actually working... My only thing against this set is personally I don't love the smell. It smells quite clinical, but you can literally only smell it when first applying, so it definitely isn't enough to put me off using this in the future!
All in all, I'm really impressed with carbon theory and am looking forward to using more of your products in the future!!
